Funeral Services for Anne E. Schmid, 78, Norfolk, were held at Home for Funerals followed by interment at Prospect Hill Cemetery on October 26, 2018.
Mrs. Schmid died Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Heritage of Bel Air in Norfolk.
Anne was born January 28, 1940 in Chadron, Nebraska the daughter of Woodrow and Virginia (Wright) Lutt. She was raised in Columbus and graduated from Columbus High School. She continued her education at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.
On February 14, 1960, Anne married Richard Schmid of Columbus. The couple made their home in Columbus where Anne was a homemaker.
In 1969, they moved their family to South Carolina and in 1976 they returned to Nebraska, living the remainder of their lives in Norfolk.
Anne enjoyed playing bridge and became an ACBL Life Master. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and doing jigsaw puzzles with her grandchildren. Her passion was her family. She particularly enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and grand puppies.
Anne is survived by her children and their spouses – Vicki and Greg Gall of Norfolk and Rick and Margie Schmid of Omaha, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, brother-in-law Robert (Jeanne) Schmid of Norfolk, sister-in-law Dorothy (Steve) Penner of North Platte, and two grand puppies.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years and two grand puppies.
