Arlene V. Meisinger

             Funeral services for Arlene V. Meisinger, 94, of Norfolk will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at Christ Lutheran Church, Norfolk: Reverend David Goehmann will officiate.  Burial will be in New Lutheran Cemetery, Norfolk.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Home for Funerals on Norfolk Ave, Norfolk, Nebraska.

            Arlene died Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Faith Regional Health Services.

            Arlene was born October 5, 1924, to Otto and Clara (Flesner) Schilling, on the family farm in Madison County. She attended District 11 School in Madison County, Christ Lutheran Parochial School, and Norfolk High School. Arlene then attended Norfolk Business College.

            Arlene married Earl Meisinger on August 17, 1947 at Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk. She worked for 7 years at Nebraska Dept of Roads. After Arlene and Earl started a family, she became a fulltime homemaker.

            Arlene is survived by 2 sons, Ardel and Judy Meisinger of Winston Salem, NC, Loren and Kathy Meisinger of Shorewood, IL, 2 daughters, Janet Meisinger and Deanne Meisinger both of Omaha, a daughter-in-law, Carla Meisinger of Norfolk, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

            Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2013, a son Marlin, a sister, Lennis Haeger, and two infant brothers.

            In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Christ Lutheran School.
