My sympathy to Karen, Susan and the rest of the Allyn family on the loss of Calvin. I enjoyed his lively conversations, sense of humor along with the compassion and goodwill he actively showed to those around him.

My very deepest condolences on the passing of Cal. I really loved him and being a part of your extended family for many years. I will always remember Cal tickling the back of my neck in choir with his music, just to make me laugh. I loved that we could all break into song over the silliest of reasons. I loved that he lived his faith and would argue his point of view with me. I am sorry that many people will never know just how much hard work Cal put in representing Norfolk around that country at the various conventions, or how many times he got stuck at restaurants or phone calls at home with people wanting to share their concern over city business. He was always polite and professional as he listened to their concerns and took to heart the messages he received. All my love to the Allyn, Moody, and McClurg families. Life will never be the same.GOD's blessings on you all and with Cal.
