Daryl R Velder

Funeral services for Daryl Velder, 93, of Norfolk will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Norfolk: Father Greg Carl will be the Celebrant.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Norfolk.  Military Rites will be by American Legion Post 16, VFW Post 1644 and the Nebraska National Guard Honor Guard. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service, Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.

            Daryl died Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Heritage of Bel Air.

            Daryl worked for Northwestern Bell for over 35 years.

Daryl is survived by his children, Cynthia and Greg Bell of Tempe, AZ, James and Trisha Velder of Council Bluffs, IA, Suzanne and Steve Weaver of Norfolk, Patricia and Dann Freburg of Holdrege, Kathleen and Barry Johnson of South Carolina, Diane and Chris Zoet of Archer, IA, a daughter-in-law Faye Velder of El Pao, TX, a brother Alan, 2 sisters, Dorothy Heltzel and Jean Pelc, 27 grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Judith (Oakson) Velder, his wife Marian, 2 sons Steven and Lee a brother Norman and a sister Darlene Fleming.
