Delores I. "Lorrie" (Zessin) Klug

Funeral Services for Delores I. “Lorrie” Klug, 90, Omaha, formerly of Norfolk, will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue.  Chaplain Mark Merkel will officiate.  Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the chapel.  Home for Funerals is in charge of the arrangements.

She passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Maple Crest Care Center in Omaha.

Delores was born June 19, 1928 to her parents Victor and Ida Josephine (Stuckwisch) Zessin in Meadow Grove, Nebraska.  She graduated from Madison High School.

Delores married Hillard Klug on October 18, 1969 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Norfolk.

She lived and worked in the Madison and Norfolk area as a nurse’s aide.  Delores moved to Omaha in 2007 to be closer to her family.

She is survived by her sister Donna (Orville) Thompson of Omaha, brother Harold Zessin of Grand Island, nieces Diane Givens of Omaha and Kathleen Sieman of Grand Island, along with other nieces and nephews, and one great niece and three great nephews.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Hillard, who died in 1978.
