Doris Ann Kilgore

Memorial service for Doris A. Kilgore, 90, of Madison will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Madison.  Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at Resseguie Funeral Home.

            Doris died Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Madison House, Norfolk.

            Doris Ann (Jacobsen) Kilgore was born on October 10, 1927 to Paul and Alice (Wehenkel) Jacobsen. She was baptized into the Christian faith at Trinity United Methodist Church in Madison, Nebraska on June 18, 1928. She attended Liberty Grade School and graduated from Madison High School in 1945. After graduation, she attended Norfolk Junior College. She was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She met the love of her life James Kilgore, Jr. and they were married on January 6, 1948. They had one daughter, Sally.

            Doris is survived by her daughter Sally (Robert) Schroeter, three grandchildren Angela (Scott) Eidem, Ryan (Brenda) Schroeter, Ross (Amy) Schroeter, 8 great-grandchildren Austin, Elizabeth, Evan, Ryleigh, Alex, Brooklyn, Burkley, and Baylor.

            She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers Arthur and Clifford and one sister Eva Dittberner.
