Memorial services for Dyane C. Stickley, 74, of Norfolk will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 1, 2019, at Home for Funerals Norfolk Avenue location. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Services will be held in Iowa at a later date.
Dyane died Monday, January 28, 2019, at her home.
Dyane was born October 18, 1944, to Eldon and Ruth (McMurray) Shepherd, in Mason City, Iowa. She grew up and attended school in Mason City and graduated from Mason City High School. Dyane married John Sears Sr. in Mason City, they later divorced.
Dyane moved to Norfolk, NE in 1986. She married Jack Stickley in Norfolk on November 4, 1990. He passed away on December 20, 2018. She worked at Dupaco, Gillette Dairy and in 1997 she went to work in house keeping at The Norfolk Country Inn. She retired from the Country Inn to care for her husband.
Dyane loved wolves, knick knacks and working in and decorating her yard.
Dyane is survived by her mother Ruth Rhodes, a daughter Carole Query of Mason City, a son John Sears and Diane Fish of Norfolk, 2 step children, Cory and Jess Stickley of Lake Park, IA, and Robin Choate of Neligh, NE, 2 brothers, Bill Shepherd and Dean Shepherd, 2 sisters, Cathy Query and Ruby Easley, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and very special friends Jeff and Mary Buckendahl of Hoskins.
