Memorial services for Jean Alice Schwank, 98, of Madison will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 29, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Madison. Private burial at Crown Hill Cemetery, will be at a later date. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Resseguie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Jean died Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Nebraska Medicine, Omaha.
Jean was born November 18, 1919 to Edward and Alma (Studts) Schwank at Madison. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith. She graduated from Madison High School. She worked for Bell Telephone Company in Madison, she then moved to California and worked for the telephone company. She retired after 38 years and moved back to her hometown of Madison, in 1992.
She is survived by a sister Shirlee Zaura, Columbus, nephews Don (Esther) Dittberner, Humphrey, Jan (April) Zaura, Columbus, Steve (Jodi) Zaura, Columbus, nieces, Jean Buresh, Glenwood, IA, Sharon Leffers, Columbus, and Mary Millman, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Arletta Dittberner and Marie Duby and a brother, Edward (Bud) Schwank.
