Jeff L. Hansen

A Celebration of Life for Jeffery L. “Jeff” Hansen, 43, Norfolk, will be 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Elkhorn Lodge at Ta-Ha-Zouka Park.  Visitation with family will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 11, 2019, at the Home for Funerals on Norfolk Avenue.  Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.

He passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019 at his home in Norfolk.

Jeffery Leonard was born March 4, 1976 in Schuyler, Nebraska to his parents James and Jacque (Galyen) Hansen.  He grew up in Battle Creek and Norfolk and graduated with his GED from Northeast Community College. 

Jeff worked for Complete Floors for many years.  In October of 2010, he became owner of his own business, HFI Commerical Flooring. 

He loved being outdoors and always had a fishing pole ready.  Jeff enjoyed fishing the area lakes, camping and kayaking.  He was talented cook, who grilled fantastic ribs and steaks.  He was an avid Husker and Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan.  He enjoyed playing golf.  Jeff cherished spending time with his family especially spoiling his grandsons and nephews. 

He is survived by his mother, best friend Tammie Suckstorf, step-children Jesse James (Niki) Suckstorf and McKinzi Edison, grandsons Braxtyn and Legend, sister Jenny (Scott) Sanford, nephews Avery James and Kael Scott Sanford, many aunts, uncles, cousins and kittens Parity and Arabel.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, grandparents Dean and Ruth Galyen and Bill and Lois Hansen, and aunts and uncles.
