Dear Family,

I just logged on to home for funerals to leave a condolence to another Madison acquaintance and I found Jerry. I am still in shock so I will do my best with words. Jerry was one of the finest young men I ever knew. He was well behaved, an honor student and a fine athlete. Take comfort in knowing that he is with Jesus and with his mom and dad once again. May God richly bless each and every one of you at this trying time in your lives. One thing I will never forget was his football shoes. He had a favorite pair of shoes which were ragged but they were what he preferred to wear at every practice and every game and they carried him well.

Hi Jana and all,
This is Sandy. I only know Jana a little bit, but I saw this and just want to say that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. We are second cousins and as you know the Maas family wasn’t in touch much with each other, but I remember how Joy, your grandma, would make ‘tea’ for her and me each time we visited her and Otto. I didn’t see Marilyn and Pat much, but that’s my own fault.
Otto was a very great example of showing how a disability can’t stop one except by how much one allows it. Your dad, Carl, was also another example. There were times it was frustrating for them, and they may have showed it, but there’s the saying that one hurts the ones they love the most sometimes!
Have God filled days and God blessed days always! Right now let Gods love comfort your hearts.
Even though I’ve only met Jana, much love to you all.
Sandy
