Memorial Services for Jimmy L. “Jim” Froehlich, 69, Hoskins, will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 26, 2018 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview.  Reverend Jerome Leckband will officiate.  Burial will be in Prospect View Cemetery in Pierce.  Military honors conducted by the Nebraska National Guard Honor Guard, American Legion Post 16, VFW Post 1644 and the American Legion Riders.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.  Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.

He passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha.

Jimmy Leon was born May 6, 1948 to his parents Leon and Darlene (Klawonn) Froehlich in Norfolk, Nebraska.  He graduated from Pierce High School.  Following graduation, he joined the U.S. Army Infantry and served in Vietnam.  After returning from Vietnam, Jimmy began his career as a truck driver.  On February 18, 1983, he married Rosemarie “Rose” Hollingsworth in Yankton, South Dakota and the couple made their home in Plainview. 

Jim loved fishing, hunting, and vegetable gardening.  He enjoyed Western movies and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughter Christina Froehlich (fiancé Bryan Edwards), sons James, Chad and Brett Froehlich, grandchildren Averi, Maecyn, Aria, and Kendyn, sisters Janice (Donavon) Koehler, Joan (Tom) Klug, and Jacqueline (Don) Bosn, brother-in-laws and sisters-in-law Bobbie (Kelvin) Molacek, Patty (Jim) Starkel, Frances (Mike) Kallhoff, Dave (Brenda) Hendren, Ginger (Randy) Jensen, Bob Hendren, and Rick (Vicki) Hendren, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and all of his brothers of the 199th Infantry. 

Jim was preceded in death by his wife Rose, parents, sister Joyce Krueger, nephew Rick Buss, brother-in-law Charles Wheeler, and father-in-law and mother-in-law Richard “Bud” and Delilah Hollingsworth.
