Karon L. (Dobesh) Putjenter

Mass of Christian Burial for Karon L. Putjenter, 72, Norfolk, will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 3, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk.  Reverend Scott Schilmoeller will be the celebrant.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday with a 5:00 p.m. Vigil Service at the Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue.

Mrs. Putjenter passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.

Karon Lois was born December 14, 1945 in Gregory, South Dakota to her parents Felix and Nellie (Baggley) Dobesh.  She graduated from Gregory High School.  Karon obtained an associate’s degree from Northeast Community College in Norfolk.

Karon married Richard “Dick” Putjenter on May 27, 1988 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk.

Karon was an avid Husker football fan.  She enjoyed a good mystery or spy novel.  Karon loved playing cards and cherished her relationships through AA Meetings. Also, Karon had a great fondness for cats.

She is survived by her husband, daughters Christie Kolbe – Seattle, WA and Misti (Ken) Darby – Papillion, NE, three step-daughters, thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, sister Sharon Utoft – Omaha, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Karon was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister.

Memorials requested to Faith Regional Health Services Hospice.
