I was sorry to hear about your mother's passing. Now, all of the familiar faces of my youth (from the prior generation) are gone. It is now us who must claim victory and cling to the glory that is soon to come. I wish you all my deepest sympathy.
PS: All these years I thought, or was led to believe, that your Dad was a State Farm Insurance agent. I remember Nancy working at the Holiday gas station but I have no recollection of the Abbey book store. I'd love to hear about the sequence of events that brought your parents together. Take care.

Lee And "Uncle Bill" were long, good friends of my grandparents Helen and Victor Schmidt. Even as a little girl, I remember grandma taking me to The Abbey to visit them. Always smiling and always happy. Bill even came to visitor day when I was in elementary school once. My thoughts and prayers are you all.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. What seems to be a long life is never long enough where our loved ones are concerned. Our Heavenly Father Jehovah feels the same way. That is why He has promised to swallow up death forever and soon end all our suffering. (Rev. 21:3-5; Isa. 25:8) May His promises be a soothing balm for your grieving hearts.
