Memorial Services for Lois M. “Cookie” Norman, 72, Norfolk, will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Heartland Baptist Church in Norfolk. Reverend Rick Bradley will officiate. Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
She passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Lois Marie “Cookie” was born July 2, 1945 to her parents Frank and Stella (Tierney) Schroeder in Tilden, Nebraska. She graduated from Neigh High School in 1963.
Cookie married James Norman on October 8, 1966 in Neligh. The couple raised their family in Norfolk. She worked as a nurse’s aide at local nursing homes. Also, Cookie managed a convenience store in Norfolk for over 5 years and was respected by many of the clientele and vendors. She had many regulars that stopped in daily to just see “Cookie” and have coffee while she served customers. Her hobbies included cooking, camping, fishing and playing cards. Cookie especially enjoyed her time with her family and being outdoors.
She is survived by her husband Jim, children Randy Norman of Lincoln, Troy (Sheryl) Norman of Fullerton, Jennifer Norman of Norfolk, and Jill (Frank) Clatterbaugh of Lincoln, grandchildren Jessica, Zachary, Michaella, Brock, Samantha, Elijah, Isaak, Isabel, and Aiden, great grandchildren Erick and Ellie, four sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Cookie was preceded in death by her parents and five sisters.
