Lorraine G. Braithwait

Memorial services for Lorraine G. Braithwait, 90, of Omaha, formerly of Norfolk will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norfolk.  Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Norfolk.  Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Home for Funerals, with a rosary at 7.

                        Lorraine Grace (Connot) Braithwait, returned to her heavenly home on November 27, 2018 after a long and fulfilling life. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her throughout her life and ultimately gave her peace.

Lorraine was born to the late Andy and Bess Connot in South Dakota on December 30, 1927. She moved to Spencer, NE during her childhood and taught in a one room school house until she married Ron (Ronald Braithwait) at age 18, on September 11, 1945. After their marriage, they moved to Norfolk and were blessed with 8 children.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Ken (Kerry), Deb McKenzie, Tammy Anson, Jeff (Kristy), Tim (Trish), as well as her 14 grandchildren,19 great-grandchildren and her brother Lloyd (Carol) Connot.  She is preceded in death by her husband Ron, children Scott, Mike and Cindy, and grandson LeRoy, beloved sister and brother-in-law Gwen & Ed Ludemann.
