On June 27, 1950, she married George Thege at Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu, Hawaii. While George was in the service, they were stationed in Hawaii, England, and Savannah, GA. When he was discharged, they moved briefly to Dodge and Omaha before settling in Norfolk in 1961.
