Robert M. Beed

Funeral services for Robert M. Beed, 62, of Norfolk will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Christ The Servant Lutheran Church, Norfolk: Reverend Steve Lund will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.

            Robert died Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at MercyOne Medical Center, Sioux City, IA.

            Robert was born May 9, 1957, to Jack and Leona (Schwarting) Beed, in Tilden, NE. He grew up in Tilden and graduated from Tilden, Elkhorn Valley High School.

            Bob Married Rhonda Burchell, November 16, 1974, in Minden, Nebraska. They lived in Minden for 2 years and Moved to Norfolk in 1976. Bob worked for Northrup King and Norfolk Harvester. He then worked as a carpenter putting up pole barns.

            Bob started his own carpet installation business. He continued installing carpet for 10 years, until his knees gave out. In 2010 he went to work for Great Dane in Wayne and he retired in 2015.

            Bob love to hunt and fish and most of all spend time with his family. He had a great sense of humor.

            Bob is survived by his wife Rhonda, their children Brad Beed (Jenn Wells), of Norfolk, Brandon (Sunney) Beed of Atchison, KS, Breanna (Angel) Magana of South Sioux City, NE, grandchildren, Devon Beed, Asher Beed, Kamryn Beed, Britton Beed, Nathalia Magana, Liliana Magana, Nayeli Magana, Israel Magana, step-grandchildren, Brooke Hanson, Jaid Beed, Joe Beed, Anna Wells, brother Roger and Diana Beed, and 3 sisters, Judy Ransen, Suzanne (Dave) Jensen and Jackie House.

            He was preceded in death by his parents.

            In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
