Robert J. Ludemann

Memorial Mass for Robert J. "Bob" Ludemann, 63, of Norfolk will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 12, 2018, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Norfolk.  Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery Battle Creek..  Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at Home for Funerals, Norfolk, Nebraska.

            Bob died Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at his home.

            Bob was born on May 8, 1954 to Bob and Loretta (Tappe) Ludemann at Lynch, NE. As a young child they moved to Norfolk where Bob attended Sacred Heart School and graduated in 1972 from Norfolk Catholic. Bob graduated from both the Auto Mechanics and Auto Body programs at NTCC. Later in his life he also graduated from the Autocade program.

In 1980 Bob married Bonnie Barry in Battle Creek. Bob worked for Gerhold Concrete until 1984. He worked at Nucor Steel until 2000 when he became disabled.

Bob loved drag racing, playing cards, John Wayne, reading Louis Lamour and most of all his grandchildren. He loved to play practical jokes. He was a very talented artist and craftsman.

Bob is survived by his wife Bonnie, his 3 sons and daughters-in-law and 5 grandchildren. John and Alisha of Norfolk, Joe and Ashley of Marshall, MN, Jacob and Nichole of Worthington, MN. Maxwell, Alexis, Elijah, Olivia and Lydia always brought a smile to Papa's face.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, Bob & Loretta, and his father in law Louie Barry.

            In Lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Norfolk Catholic Schools Foundation.
