Rodger Jordann

Rodger Jor`Dann (Nelson) passed away February 13th, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents; Albert D. Nelson, Helen Maxine Terry, Stepfather Fritz Terry, and Sister Dolores Dawn Nelson Fechtmeister. Rodger was born in Tilden, Nebraska. He graduated from Meadow Grove High School in 1963 and furthered his education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He pursued additional coursework in film studies at the University of Southern California. His career included teaching Speech and Drama at the High School, College, and University levels. Rodger’s love was the Arts. He acted in various community theaters, movies and even had a role in a popular motion picture. He was a gifted artist and also published a book. His unique Christmas cards were saved by those who appreciated his talent. Rodger engaged individuals in conversation wherever he went, you could say he had the “gift of gab”. This served him well in his travels within the states and abroad. He studied his family history and collected many family photos and memorabilia. Rodger enjoyed sports in High School and was a Husker fan. Husker Volleyball was his favorite college sport with Husker Basketball as a close second! GO BIG RED!! Rodger is survived by a brother Albert D. Nelson, Nephews, Cousins, and friends.
