Services for Sandra J. Geary, 78, Norfolk, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, at Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Burial will be in Stanton Cemetery in Stanton.
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Home for Funerals on Norfolk Avenue in Norfolk.
She died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Sandra was born May 25, 1940 to Leonard and Letha Mae (Albertus) Kuester at Wisner, NE. Sandra attended school in Stanton and graduated from Stanton High School in 1958.
Sandra worked as a secretary in Stanton. On November 9, 1968 Sandra married Gordon Geary at Faith Lutheran Church in Stanton. They made their home in Norfolk. Sandra worked as a secretary in Norfolk until the birth of their daughter, Heather in 1975. Sandra then became a stay at home mom and also managed several properties that they owned.
Sandra enjoyed going to concerts, golfing, politics and most of all traveling with her daughter.
Sandra is survived by her daughter Heather of Norfolk, a brother Don (Ruth) Kuester of Stanton, a sister Sharon (Lowell) Olson of Carroll, NE, and her beloved toy poodle Shadow.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon on February 26, 2009, her parents, a brother Gary Kuester and an infant sister Judy.
