Steven M. Kohl

Graveside services for Steven M. Kohl, 63, Clarkson, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 2, at Crown Hill Cemetery in Madison. The Rev. Donna Goltry will officiate. Military honors will be provided . Luncheon will follow at Trinity United Methodist Church in Madison.

He died Monday, July 23, 2018, at his home in Clarkson.

Resseguie Funeral Home in Madison is in charge of arrangements.

Steven Marlowe Kohl was born April 28, 1955 in Madison County, Nebraska to his parents Marlowe “Mike” H. and Mary Janice (Johnson) Kohl. He was baptized at Trinity United Methodist Church October 23, 1955 and confirmed there May 7, 1967. Steve graduated from Madison High School in 1973.

Steve joined the Navy in May 1973, and was stationed in San Diego for two years, then at Virginia Beach. He spent the rest of his life on the East Coast until returning to Madison two years ago. He had a passion for hot rods.

He is survived by step-son, Jimmy, brother Mitch (Kathy) Kohl, sisters Mary (Jim) Jetensky and Sheila (Tony) Kampa, several nieces and nephews, and aunts Judy (George) Godel, Nancy (Bob) Scott, Linda (Vaughn) Stiles and Margaret Mummert.

Steve was preceded in death by his wife Cathy, and parents Mike and Jan Kohl.
