Funeral Services for Virginia M. (Renner) Terry, 95, Norfolk, will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 12, 2018 at Home for Funerals. Reverend Dustin Petz will officiate. Visitation be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
She passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 at the Osmond General Hospital in Osmond, Nebraska.
Virginia was born on August 7, 1922 to Louis and Ann (Rosendahl) Grevson in West Point, NE, where her father was a farmer and carpenter. Virginia was one of five children.
In 1941, she married Ralph Renner and the couple farmed south of Battle Creek until Ralph’s death in 1978.
Virginia married Paul Terry in 1982 and joined him on his farm south of Norfolk. She remained at the farm following Paul’s death in 1993.
Virginia was active in politics all of her life as she served as head of the Madison County Democratic Party in the 1970s.
She is survived by three sons Lonnie Renner of Grand Junction, CO, Dale Renner of Norfolk, and Arlan Renner of Randolph, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by both of her husbands and her siblings.
