Abigail "Abby" Linke

Funeral services for Abigail “Abby” Linke, age 38, of Norfolk, Nebraska will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2024, at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue, in Norfolk. Reverend Glenn Wapelhorst will officiate.

The service will be livestreamed on the funeral home website.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the chapel.

Abby passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024, at her residence.

Abigail Mary “Abby” Linke, daughter of Ronald and Mary Katherine (Farris) Linke, was born May 8, 1986, in Yankton, South Dakota. Abby graduated from Norfolk Senior High School in 2004.

Abby had a beautiful, contagious laugh that brought joy to those around her. Abby loved binge-watching television series, cleaning, playing with her nieces and nephews, painting, playing bingo, playing cards with her family, and engaging in intelligent conversations with those around her. She also enjoyed listening to uplifting music and reading Lisa Gardner and Nicholas Sparks books.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Linke in 1988; sister, Sarah Linke; maternal grandparents, Huss and Rosie Johnson; paternal grandparents, Karl and June Linke; aunt, Virginia Rowlands; uncles, Ray (Deb) Farris, Butch Linke, and Jim Mongo; and grandparents, Norm and Bonnie Rood.

Abby is survived by her fiancé, Jeremy Hetrick; her parents, Ron and Diane (Rood) Linke; siblings, Summer (Aaron) Holzkamp and Gabe (Ashley) Linke; children, Reagan (Seth) Burchill, Cole Mack, Katherine Linke, Noah Reagan, and Cody Linke; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
