Funeral services for Andrew Koss, age 45, of Madison, Nebraska will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison. Pastor Todd Kollbaum will officiate, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery in Madison.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church.
Resseguie Funeral Home in Madison is in charge of arrangements.
Andrew died Monday, September 2, 2024, at Byran Medical Center West in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Andrew J. Koss, son of Gregory and Bobbi Koss, was born June 12, 1979, at Fairbury, Nebraska. He graduated from Madison High School. On August 5, 2000, Andrew was united in marriage to Sheila Jurgens at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison. They were blessed with four children, MaKayla, Tanner, Pacey, and Savanna.
Andrew lived in Madison and Lincoln throughout his lifetime, working as a truck driver for Lincoln Poultry and Sysco-Lincoln. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison.
Andrew enjoyed gardening, hunting, golfing, cooking, watching Husker football, and attending his kids' activities.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila; sons, Tanner and Pacey; daughter, Savanna; mother, Bobbi Koss; brothers, Jeff (Tara) Koss of Randolph and Mike (Tammy) Holdorf of Madison; grandmother, Verleen Vorderstrasse of Hebron; parents-in-law, Robert “Bob” and Suzette Jurgens of Madison; in-laws, Troy (Amy) Jurgens of Lincoln, Robert (Kandy) Jurgens of Madison, Teri Eurek of Madison, and Jack (Erin) Jurgens of Pleasant Dale; and many nieces and nephews.
Andrew was preceded in death by his daughter, MaKayla; father, Gregory; cousin, Sena; uncle, Billy; grandfathers, Clarence and Melvin; and grandmother, Shirley.
