Beverly Marlene Myhre, age 87, of Norfolk formerly of Columbus, passed away peacefully on July 19th, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation and Care Center in Norfolk with family at her side.
Home for Funerals in Norfolk is in charge of arrangements.
Beverly was the last living child of Gustav and Stina Myhre, born on a farmstead west of St. Edward, Nebraska on November 19, 1937.
In her younger years, Beverly worked on the farm she grew up on and for her Uncle Ing at his grocery store. She told the story of heads/tails trick her brother Duane would pull on her. I asked her what ever came of the heads on both sides coin, she wasn't for sure but thinks she threw in trash. She was done being pranked by her brother!
Beverly worked at Becton Dickenson from 1966 until her retirement in 1998. When there were chickens to be cleaned, she always was at the farm helping her sister out. She enjoyed bingo, 10-point pitch, horse races, concerts and her triple flaming 7's.
Beverly was a joy to everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers and sisters and their spouses, James Myhre, Christine (William) D'Aubin, Arlene (Hank) Gannuscio, Stuart Myhre, Duane Myhre, Melba (Wayne) Wilson, and Dorla James.
