Mass of Christian Burial for Beverly R. “Bev” Starman, age 86, of Norfolk, will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Norfolk. Reverend Patrick McLaughlin will be the celebrant, with interment in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 4, 2025, at the church with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service.

Bev passed away Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Beverly R. Starman was born in Palo Alta, CA, on October 6, 1938, the daughter of David and Myrtle (Libby) Thorin. After the third grade in California, Beverly’s family moved to Neligh, NE. She graduated from Neligh High School in 1958. After her graduation, Beverly began working at the Neligh hospital as a cook.
On November 19, 1960, Beverly married Raymond Starman. They made their home in Wayne, NE for eleven years before moving to Norfolk. After raising three daughters, Beverly worked at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Later, she enjoyed her passion of caring for her grandchildren and babysitting.
She also enjoyed painting ceramics, coloring, and seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Ray; and their children and their spouses, Connie and Chuck Wageman of Emerson, Karen and Louis Johnson of Norfolk, and Sharon and Tim Clausen of Norfolk; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
