Calvin "Cal" Worden

Calvin “Cal” Worden, age 82, of Norfolk, Nebraska died Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Stanton Health Center in Stanton, Nebraska.

Calvin “Cal” Worden, son of Melvin and Edith (Dent) Worden, was born January 1, 1943, in Burwell, Nebraska. He graduated from Burwell High School and also obtained a bachelor’s degree in business from Kearney State College.

On September 3, 1965, Cal was united in marriage to LaRae Granger in Minden, Nebraska. They were blessed with two children, Brent and Brenda.

Cal resided in Norfolk and was a banker until he retired. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Elks and Lions Clubs, Norfolk Shriners, and Masonic Lodge. He was a volunteer for the United Way and was an FFA Alumni.

Cal is survived by his wife, LaRae; son, Brent Worden and Michelle Linbo; daughter, Brenda Worden and Katie Bartlow; two grandchildren, Taylor (Worden) and Tim McLaughlin and Kamri Worden; two great-grandchildren, Raelynn and Granger McLaughlin; siblings, Larry Donner and Beverly Williams of Burwell, Nebraska; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Worden; mother, Edith Worden Donner; stepfather, Marvin Donner; and brother, LeRoy Worden.
