Carol A. Martin

Graveside Services for Carol A. Martin, 83, of Norfolk, will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 28, 2025, at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk. Home for Funerals in Norfolk is in charge of arrangements.

She passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the Wayne Countryview Care and Rehabilitation Center in Wayne.

Carol Ann was born January 2, 1942, in Norfolk, Nebraska to Arnold and Theresa (Goodwater) Widhalm. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School. 

Following graduation, Carol worked for the Sheriff’s Office in Sioux City, Iowa. Later on, she worked as a clerical assistant for the Arkansas Department of Human Services. 

Carol enjoyed playing cards and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin infant children; son, Timothy Prince; daughter, Ramona Banta; sister, Judith Chapman; and brother, David Widhalm.

Carol is survived by her sisters, Mary Andersen of Golden, CO, Jean (Clayton) Lenox of Norfolk, Betty Widhalm of Norfolk, and Donna (Bob) Eckhoff of Crofton; grandchildren, Samatha, Jennifer, Jessica, and Jacob; ten great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Kent Banta; brother-in-law, Lloyd Chapman; sister-in-law, Annette Widhalm; and nieces and nephews.
