Cynthia, daughter of Earl and Gyatha (Simpson) Martin, was born July 19, 1959, in Flint, Michigan. The family moved to Arizona for a few years and then to Beaumont, California, where she attended school. After high school graduation, she went to San Jacinto Community College in Yucaipa, California. She married Jose Vazquez May 31, 1993. The couple lived in Yucaipa and were blessed with four sons.
Cynthia was a walking encyclopedia, remembering all sorts of facts and trivia on any and every subject. She was very social, loved to sing and dance, and all her children’s friends saw her as the “cool mom.” She had the kindest heart and treated everyone who crossed her path with the utmost respect and compassion.
She is survived by her husband, Jose Vazquez; sons, Eric (Sarah) Martin, John (Mery) Martin, Jose (Karen) Vasquez, and David Vazquez; and grandchildren, Alexia Martin, Earl Martin, and Scarlett Vasquez.
She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Gyatha; and brothers, Al and Ray Martin.
