Daniel L. "Dan" Daily

A Celebration of Life for Daniel L. “Dan” Daily, age 69, of Niobrara, Nebraska will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2023, at the Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue in Norfolk, Nebraska.

Visitation with family will be one hour prior to service at the chapel. 

Home for Funerals in Norfolk is in charge of arrangements.

He passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.

Dan was born December 7, 1954, in Omaha, Nebraska to Howard and Bernadette (Daly) Daily.  He graduated from Norfolk Senior High School and earned an Associate’s Degree from Northeast Community College in Utility Line. 

On June 14, 1975, Dan married Pamela Kleensang at Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk.  The couple was blessed with three children, Sarah, Rebecca, and Lucas. The couple later divorced.

For over 50 years, Dan worked his way up through NPPD, beginning as a lineman and ending as an inspector. 

Dan enjoyed exploring, fishing, hunting, and motorcycles.  He was an avid car collector.  Dan loved attending his grandchildren’s activities.  

He is survived by his children, Sarah Daily of Norfolk, Rebecca Daily (Ben Woodard) of Meadow Grove, and Lucas Daily of Norfolk; grandchildren, Derek Renner, Kadin Renner, Ashton Toupal, Taya Daily, Keaton Daily, Cora Daily, and Riya Daily; sister, Jeanette Hastings of Norfolk; brother, David (Joleen) Daily of Orleans; brother-in-law, Mike Uhing of Hartington; and nieces and nephews.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Loren Daily; and sister, Kathy Uhing.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
