DiAnn passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Faith Health in Norfolk surrounded by her family.

DiAnn Marie Peitzmeier, daughter of Urban and Corrine (Schaecher) Wessel, was born on March 4, 1947, in Humphrey, Nebraska. She grew up and attended school in Humphrey and graduated from Humphrey St Francis High School in 1965.

Following high school, DiAnn pursued training in dental hygiene and worked for many years as a dental hygienist for Dr. Wilbur and Dr. Murphy. She later joined Faith Regional Health Services, where she worked in medical records until her retirement.

On May 20, 1968, DiAnn married Gene Beiermann, and together they were blessed with two sons, Craig and Doug. Gene preceded her in death on August 13, 1994. On August 16, 2008, she married Andrew “Andy” Peitzmeier.

She cherished time spent with family and friends and enjoyed golfing, polka dancing, and hosting gatherings for her bridge club. A devoted member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, she generously volunteered her time through the rosary group and as a Eucharistic minister. She also loved traveling and created many treasured memories visiting Hawaii, the Grand Canyon, New England, and on an Alaskan cruise.

DiAnn’s greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and love that will be remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Andy Peitzmeier; her sons, Craig (Tiffany) Beiermann and Doug (Kimberley) Beiermann; grandchildren, Kaylyn (Kevin) Sullivan, Braden (Anna) Beiermann, Isaac Beiermann, Wyatt Beiermann, and Dani Beiermann; great-grandchildren, Colt and Collins Sullivan and Hazel and Ezra Beiermann; Andy’s children, Susan (Willie) Bonet, Dennis (Linda) Peitzmeier, and Sharon (Tony) Scheerger; his grandchildren, Miranda (Dayne) Porter and Skylar Scheerger; great-grandchild, Lyla Porter; brothers, Dale (Maxine) Wessel, Dan (Sheri) Wessel, and Duane (Angie) Wessel; and sister-in-law, Shirley Wessel; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Urban and Corrine Wessel; her first husband, Gene Beiermann; and her brother, Dean Wessel.

Memorials may be designated towards Norfolk Catholic Schools Foundation, Norfolk Catholic Booster Club, and Mitochondrial Research.

May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
