Dian Drews

Funeral services for Dian Drews, age 75, of Norfolk, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue, in Norfolk. Reverend Michael Moreno will officiate, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Dian died Sunday, March 24, 2024, at her residence.

Dian Kay Drews, daughter of Ruben and Lorrinda (Voecks) Buckendahl, was born June 23, 1948, in Norfolk. She grew up in Pierce, Nebraska and graduated from Pierce High School in 1966. Dian later attended college. She married Rodney Drews in 1974 and the couple was blessed with two children, Daren and Rachele. Rodney later passed away.

Dian was employed with the Social Security Administration. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk, where she enjoyed playing the handbells. She was fond of bowling, participating in leagues for many years. She enjoyed spending time at home and loved watching sports, especially following Husker volleyball and basketball.

She loved her grandchildren dearly. Dian always shared her sweet smile, love, and kindness with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends.

Dian is survived by her children, Daren Drews, Rachele (Adam) Mittelstaedt, and Dominic Drews, a grandson she raised as her own child; grandchildren, Saydee, Gunnar, and Jarvis Mittelstaedt; and special cousin, Linda Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
