Donald W. May, Jr.

Funeral Services for Donald W. May, Jr., 67, Norfolk, will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue.  Pastor Clint Hogrefe will officiate.  Burial will be at a later date at the Clearwater Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the chapel.  Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.

He passed way surrounded by his family on Friday, January 31, 2020 at his home in Norfolk.

Donald William was born July 18, 1952 in Martin, South Dakota to Donald, Sr. and Dorothy (Chubb) May.  In 1970, he graduated from O’Neill High School.  Following graduation, Donald moved to Norfolk and began college.  He worked at Henningsen Foods until an accident occurred in 1972.

In 1984, Donald married Linda Poessnecker, the couple was blessed with one daughter, Kimberly May.  The couple later divorced.

Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and being with his family playing cards.  He loved watching football and NASCAR racing.  Donald loved spending time with his daughter, grandkids, nieces, nephews and other family members.

He is survived by his daughter, Kim (William) Schuchman of Stanton, five grandchildren, four step-children, sisters Carroll Burrell of Riverton, WY, Sandy (Ronald) Follette and Barbara Woeppel both of Norfolk, and many nieces and nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law, a niece and a nephew.
