Funeral services for Dorothy A. Uttecht, age 92, of Norfolk, will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Reverend Robert Wiest will officiate, with interment in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk.
The service will be livestreamed on the funeral home website.
Visitation will be Monday from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue in Norfolk.

Dorothy passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Dorothy Ann Uttecht was born on February 20, 1933, in Newman Grove, Nebraska to William and Grace (Kinney) Arns. She graduated from Norfolk Senior High School in 1951.
On April 5, 1953, Dorothy married Dale Uttecht at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Norfolk. The couple was blessed with two children, Pamela and Scott.
Early on, Dorothy worked at the Ice Berg Ice Cream Store and Hesteds in Norfolk. After Dorothy and Dale married, she was a stay-at-home mom and worked as a seamstress on the side.
As a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church, she served on the Ladies Aid and the Altar Guild. Dorothy volunteered at the hospital and helped with the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She loved crafting, sewing, and quilting. Dorothy enjoyed spending time working on jigsaw puzzles.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Pam Henrickson (Tim Ernst) of Norfolk; son, Scott Uttecht (Valerie Hazen) of Elbert, CO; grandchildren, Cody (Mandy) Henrickson of Bennington, Ryan (Erin) Henrickson of Omaha, and Amber (Chris) Biss of Fountain, CO; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Karac, Cora, Avery, Evelyn, and Dorothy; brother, Keith Arns of Mesa, AZ; sisters, Janet (Albert) Rosenbohm of Lincoln and Marilyn Newland of Norfolk; sisters-in-law, Carol Arns of Auburn, WA, Marilyn Emrich of Norfolk, Laura Mattice of Aurora, CO, Debbie Uttecht of Lincoln, and Janice Uttecht of Bloomington, IL; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Roger Arns; son-in-law, Steve Henrickson; sisters-in-law, Mary Arns, JoAnn Uttecht, and Jeanette Uttecht; and brothers-in-law, Dennis Newland, Randy Emrich, Delmar Uttecht, and Allan Uttecht.
