Elsie Liewer

Funeral services for Elsie Liewer, age 82, of Norfolk, Nebraska will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue in Norfolk. Jeff Schipper will officiate, with burial at a later date in Bloomfield City Cemetery in Bloomfield, Nebraska.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Elsie died Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.

Elsie Lou Liewer, daughter of Bryan Downs and Francis (Tews) Downs, was born on February 16, 1942, in Bloomfield, Nebraska. She graduated from Plainview High School. Elsie resided in Norfolk, Nebraska and enjoyed sharing the gospel.

Elsie is survived by her daughters, Cindy Liewer and Kim Lewis; grandchildren, Casey Waychoff of Austin, TX, Jaqueline (Philip) Viviano of Kemmerer, WY, Tyler Waychoff, Megan (Hans) Schalembier of Norfolk, VA, and Chelsey Carlisle of Denver, CO; and great-grandchildren, Josiah, Noah, Caleb, and Zion Momoe, Tony, Samantha, Tina, and Emma Viviano, and Matteo and Adele Schalembier.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Zachariah Andrews.
