Funeral services for Ervin E. Bohn, age 98, of Norfolk, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 26, 2024, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Reverend Paul Hirsch will officiate, with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk.
Military honors will be conducted by the Army National Guard Honor Guard, VFW Post 1644, and American Legion Post 16.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue, in Norfolk. The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on the funeral home's website.

He passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Countryside Home in Madison, Nebraska.
Erv was born Thursday, March 19, 1925, in Norfolk, Nebraska to Fred and Mary (Kaup) Bohn. He grew up on the family farm. Erv attended District #21 School in Stanton County and graduated from the eighth grade at St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Norfolk. Following graduation, he farmed with his brothers until he was drafted into the United States Army in 1944. Erv served in the Pacific Theater during World War II and returned in 1946.
On April 23, 1949, Erv married Edwina “Eddy” Earwood in Columbus, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Norfolk. Erv worked for Walnut Grove Feed for 24 years and retired in 1991. In retirement, he worked part time for 18 years for the Madison County Weed District.
He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, woodworking, and hunting. Erv liked to garden and feed the squirrels in his yard. He loved spending time with his great grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Jerry (Lori) Bohn of Norfolk and Connie (DeeWitt) Broders of Norfolk; granddaughters, Kelli DeWispelare, Whitney (Scottie) Lyons and Kerri (Casey) Dittrich; great-grandsons, Hudson DeWispelare, Ryder Dittrich, Grant Lyons, Bentley DeWispelare, Weston Dittrich, and Lonnie Lyons; great-granddaughter, Charley Dittrich; sister-in-law, Bonnie Nuttleman; and nieces and nephews.
Erv was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eddy (2016); brothers, Harvey (Emma) Bohn, Willard (Ella) Bohn, Ralph (Martha) Bohn, and Melvin (LaVern) Bohn; sister-in-law, Betty Starzec; brothers-in-law, Leonard Starzec and Doug Nuttleman.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Radio Fund.
