Gale E. Rix

Gale Rix, age 68, of Fremont, Nebraska died Friday, November 15, 2024, at Arbor Care Centers-Fullerton in Fullerton, Nebraska.

Services will be held at a later date.

Gale Eugene Rix, son of Norman B. and Avis (Purdy) Rix, was born December 1, 1955, in Tilden, Nebraska. He was raised on a farm near Tilden and attended Elkhorn Valley High School, graduating in 1974. Gale then attended Northeast Community College. He had a long-standing career with Land O’ Lakes/Purina first in Norfolk and then in Fremont, from where he retired.

Gale married Diane in 1981 and was blessed with two sons, Christopher and Lukas. Gale and Diane later divorced. He loved motorcycles, vehicle restoration, hunting, and fishing.

He is survived by his sons, Christopher (Lyndsay) Rix of Tekamah, Nebraska and Lukas Rix of Omaha, Nebraska; grandson, Rylan Rix of Tekamah; brother, Russell (Patti) Rix of Mesa, Arizona; sister, Linda (Shawn) Schutt of Norfolk, Nebraska; and nieces and nephews.

Gale was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Avis Rix; and brother, Bruce Rix.
