Funeral services for Gregg V. Hausmann, age 76, of Norfolk, Nebraska will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Reverend Cal Kapels will officiate, with interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue, in Norfolk.
Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
Gregg passed away Monday, October 7, 2024, at the Heritage of Bel-Air in Norfolk after a short battle with cancer.
Gregg Vernon Hausmann was born Sunday, July 25, 1948, in Norfolk, Nebraska to Vernon and Irene (Kurpgeweit) Hausmann.
On September 21, 1968, Gregg married Cindy “Cleo” Peitzmeier in Santa Barbara, California. They were blessed with four children, Mick, Jason, Jenny, and Nicole. The couple later divorced.
For 36 years, Gregg worked as a welder for Vulcraft.
He loved spending time with family and loved his grandsons greatly. He always loved sitting in his favorite recliner watching TV and always snuck in a nap! And boy did he love his food and snacks! He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. He was a strong man and great provider to his family who always worked hard.
Gregg was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Shelley Hausmann and Judene (Jim) Mewis; and brother, Dennis Hausmann.
He is survived by his children, Mick Hausmann of Norfolk, Jason Hausmann of Lincoln, Jenny Hausmann of Norfolk, and Nicole Hausmann of Lincoln; grandsons, Brent and Kashton; siblings, Sharlyn (Eldon) Grashorn of Norfolk, Pam (Bob) Anderson of Norfolk, and Steve Hausmann of Stanton; nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Pat Ober.
