Mass of Christian Burial for Gregory J. “Greg” Juracek, age 46, of Norfolk, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Norfolk. Reverend Gregory Carl will be the celebrant, with interment in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue, in Norfolk, with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service.
Home for Funerals in Norfolk is in charge of arrangements.
Greg passed away Friday, September 20, 2024, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, with his family by his side.
Greg Juracek was born March 11, 1978, to Clifford and Garnett Kay (Gillogly) Juracek in Norfolk, Nebraska. He graduated from Norfolk Catholic High School in 1996. Greg was the 1995-1996 male athlete of the year. Greg loved fishing with family and friends. He enjoyed gardening and canning what he raised. Basketball was Greg’s favorite sport to play and watch. He loved a good joke and had a great sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Peggy.
Greg is survived by his three siblings, Bradley Juracek of Lincoln, Tracy Olson of Omaha, and Jean Juracek of Omaha; five nephews, Nick Juracek, Jake (McKenzie) Juracek, Sam Juracek, Lucas Juracek, and Brady Stodola; and five nieces, Michaela Terry, Brooke (Cody) Seaton, Courtney Stodola, Ally Stodola, and Macy Juracek.
