Jenifer J. Sprague

A Celebration of Life for Jenifer J. Sprague, 75, of Madison, Nebraska will be at a later date.

Resseguie Funeral Home in Madison is in charge of arrangements.

Jenifer died Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.

Jenifer Jo Sprague, daughter of Thomas and Bernadine (Dvorak) Lloyd, was born January 23, 1950, in Creighton, Nebraska. She grew up on a farm in Sparta, east of Verdigre, graduating from Verdigre High School in 1968. After high school, she attended Joseph’s College of Beauty in Sioux City.

In 1972, she was united in marriage with Terry Sprague. The couple lived in Norfolk and Battle Creek, moving to Madison in 1979, and then settled on their farm west of Madison in 1994. They were blessed with two sons, Erik and Clint.

Jeni worked as a beautician, a nurse’s aide and then in dispatch for the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and shared her sewing skills with others through her business mending clothes. Jeni was a talented baker. Her family relished her banana bread, pies, and cakes. She had multiple recipes published in Nebraska Life magazine over the years. She loved animals of all kinds, riding motorcycles, and was a die-hard Huskers fan.

Jeni is survived by her husband, Terry; sons, Erik Sprague and Clint (Cassie) Sprague; and grandson, Dylan. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.
