Deepest Sympathy to all! I had the honor to work with JoAnn at the Granary many years ago. What a kind, caring faithful hardworking lady. Peace to all!

I met JoAnn when she first arrived in Norfolk! Her determination and courage were only a few of the special qualities I admired! We both struggled with cancer and I always kept her in my prayers. I will miss her and keep memories of her always.

You don't know me, but I taught a summer school class with JoAnn the summer she got her teaching certificate. We called it the class from "hell". She was then a friend for life. I connected with her often at Prenger's and the Granary. We always exchanged our hugs and caught up a little bit. I was happy and proud of her when she got the teaching job at the Catholic school. She was the most beautiful and hard-working lady I have ever had the chance to know. I loved her. Then I was told she was sick, and I didn't know how to contact her. I've prayed for her throughout. Now my thoughts and prayers are also with all of you. I miss seeing her smiling face.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Woodard
