Joleen M. Domsch

A Celebration of Life for Joleen M. Domsch, age 67, of Norfolk, will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Northern Heights Baptist Church in Norfolk. 

Visitation with family will be one hour prior to service at the church. 

Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.

She passed away Friday, October 4, 2024, at home in Norfolk which is exactly where she wanted to be.  

Joleen Marie Domsch was born April 18, 1957, in Sioux City, Iowa to Martin W. and Helen M. (Biggerstaff) Domsch. She earned her GED and obtained certificates in healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Medical Assistant. Joleen worked at the Heritage of Bel Air for 21 years, the Norfolk Veterans Home for seven years, and in Home Care services for many years. Nearly everyone she came in contact with was treated like family. Joleen managed apartments for several years as well. 

Most importantly Joleen’s love was unconditional. She was, and will always be, someone that people needed in the lowest times of their lives. Many didn’t make it easy on her, but she loved all evenly and with all her heart. Joleen loved a nice day outside with a big glass of iced tea. She loved gardening her own vegetables, was the number one Husker football fan, and fished with her favorite NASCAR fishing pole. One of Joleen’s favorite pass times was bringing whoever was willing to feed the ducks at Taha-Zouka Park every day. 

Joleen was proceeded in death by her parents, Martin, Helen, and Gale; brothers, Martin and John; as well as her bff, Izzy. 

Joleen is survived by her brother, Paul Domsch of Norfolk; three children, Richie (Jeni) Domsch of Norfolk, Brett King of Norfolk, and Andrea King of Lincoln; followed by the generation that made her soft as she effortlessly filled the role of auntie, grandma, and, for many, a second mom.
