Kaitlyn Grace Mefford

A celebration of life service for Kaitlyn Grace Mefford, age 19, will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue, Norfolk, Nebraska, with a time for sharing at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Crofton, Nebraska.

Kaitlyn passed away on November 15th, 2023. She was born on May 11, 2004, to Kevin and Kim Mefford in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Kaitlyn was a sweet, patient, strong daughter, friend, cousin, and niece. She was so positive, always smiling and very determined.

Christian faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her through the toughest times. She attended Christian outreach mission trips to San Diego, Costa Rica, and Lima Peru with her church/school friends.

Kaitlyn had a love for cheer, dance and scuba diving, bringing joy to those around her with an infectious smile and enthusiasm. But above all, her family meant the world to her, and her love for them was boundless.

Kaitlyn touched the lives of so many. Although she left us too soon, her memory will forever inspire us to live with grace, determination, and kindness. She is now a beautiful angel looking down on us. She truly loved being surrounded by family and friends. She loved her Nebraska family and loved to travel. She traveled to Bora Bora, Tahiti, Hawaii, Puerto Vallarta to name a few. She also took cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean.

Kaitlyn was attending Grand Canyon University, taking classes to be a nurse. It is there, she met and fell in love with her boyfriend Josh.

She is survived by her parents, Kevin and Kim Mefford; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
