Kathy Wieland Obituary
Kathy Ann Wieland, age 67 of Stanton, died Tuesday December 12, 2017 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. She was born September 26, 1950 at Norfolk, Nebraska the daughter of Paul and Lois (Follette) Richter. She was a graduate of Stanton High school.
In January 1974 Kathy married James Harold Wieland at Madison, Nebraska. The couple made their home in rural Stanton. Kathy had been employed as a housekeeper at Super 8 Motel in Norfolk and as a sales clerk in the agriculture department at Bomgaars in Norfolk. After suffering a stroke 10 years ago Kathy frequented the Sunset Plaza in Norfolk where she enjoyed seeing friends and meeting new people.
Her many hobbies over the years include gardening, raising chickens, turkeys and guineas; kayaking; hiking and biking.
Surviving Kathy are her 4 children Rhonda and Jamie Wright of Stanton; Jim and John Wieland of Stanton; Joe Wieland of Eden Prairie, MN; Grandson Brodie Wieland of Eden Prairie, MN; 1 Brother Gary and Ann Richter of Stanton.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband James on November 5, 2011.
