Kenneth “Kenny” McKown, age 66, of Norfolk, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Private services will be held at a later date.

Kenny Dwayne McKown, son of Ervin and Peralee Eldora McKown, was born November 6, 1958, in Plainview, Nebraska. He attended Plainview Public School. Throughout his high school years, he worked at the Plainview Bowling Alley. He was an avid bowler, collected hot wheels, worked on model cars and trucks, and loved Batman comics.
In 1977, Kenny enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany for two and half years. Upon returning to the States, he was an over-the-road truck driver for several years before working for John’s Disposal for many more.
Kenny married Pamela Greger of Belgrade on June 20, 1987. They were married for 13 years.
When he was not working, Kenny enjoyed fishing, camping, grilling, watching movies, and racing stock cars. Out of all the things he loved, Kenny loved his family the most.
He is leaving behind his children, Trevor “Odie” McKown and his dog Otis and Sundae (Andy) Provencher; their sister, Stevie; grandchildren, Willow and Zephyr Provencher; sister, Pamela McKown; sister-in-law, Cindy McKown; brother-in-law, Al Wiegard; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Kenny is reunited with his beloved mother and father; brothers, Mac and Rolly; sisters, Patricia (Butch) Frahm and Laine Wiegard; and great-nephews, Alexander Fortin and Kehpri King.
