Kim Morsett Obituary

Mass of Christian Burial for Kim J. Morsett, age 63 of Norfolk, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 18, 2023, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Norfolk. Reverend Gregory Carl will be celebrant, with burial in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in West Point, Nebraska, following the luncheon.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church.

Kim died Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at her residence.

Kim Jean Morsett, daughter of Richard and Peggy (Sandy) Lehmkuhl, was born March 7, 1960, in Sioux City, Iowa. She attended West Point Central Catholic High School in West Point, Nebraska. On May 4, 1985, Kim was united in marriage to Chuck Morsett in West Point. They were blessed with three children, Austin, Alex, and Cassidy.

After moving to Norfolk in 1994, Kim worked at Vishay Dale Electronics before beginning her 19-year career at Faith Regional Health Services. Kim was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Norfolk. She enjoyed camping, boating, and yearly trips to Florida to break up the cold winters of Nebraska.

Kim is survived by her husband, Chuck Morsett of Norfolk; children, Austin Morsett of Groveland, Florida, Alex Morsett of Lincoln, and Cassidy Morsett of Omaha; sister, Kelly (Dan) Bliemeister of Fountain Hills, Arizona; brother, Rick (Tracey) Lehmkuhl of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and mother-in-law, Mary Jane Morsett of Norfolk.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Peggy Lehmkuhl; grandparents, Beatrice Hall, Elmo Sandy, and Mary and Herman “Dick” Lehmkuhl; and father-in-law, Charlie Morsett, Sr.
