A private ceremony for Kyle J. McGrath, age 58, of Omaha, Nebraska will take place a later date.
Kyle passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026, at his home in Omaha.
Kyle John McGrath was born on June 28, 1967, in Sargent, Nebraska, where he spent his early years and graduated from Norfolk Senior High School. Kyle worked at Larry’s Mainstreet as a bartender in Norfolk.
He later moved to Omaha, where he built both his career and his life. Kyle worked as a banquet manager at the Red Lion, a role in which he was known for his reliability, attention to detail, and genuine care for the people he served. He took pride in bringing people together and helping create meaningful moments for others.
Those who knew Kyle will remember his laughter, love for his family, kind heart, steady presence, and the way he made others feel welcomed and valued. Whether through his work or in everyday life, he had a way of connecting with people and leaving a lasting impression.
Kyle will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the many lives he touched.
He is survived by his siblings, Kenneth McGrath of Omaha, Michelle McGrath of Norfolk, Jennifer Nadkarni of Evans, Georgia and Chad McGrath of Norfolk Nebraska. Kyle was known as Uncle Buck to his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence McGrath; mother, Sandra McGrath; and brother, Larry McGrath.
Arrangements were entrusted with Home for Funerals in Norfolk.
