Obituary
Graveside Services for Larry Ray Hellmers, age 72, of Norfolk, will be 1:00 pm., Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Omaha National Cemetery. Reverend Greg Berger will officiate. Military Honors conducted by the United States Navy Honor Guard, Millard American Legion Post 374 and VFW Post 833. Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
He passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Norfolk Veterans Home.
Larry was born September 21, 1949 in Norfolk, Nebraska to Walter and Evelyn (Blair) Hellmers.
He served on the USS Virgo in the United States Navy from June of 1968 until March of 1970. Larry was an avid Husker football and NASCAR fan.
Larry is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Kari and William Paprocki of Clarkson, grandchildren Blake and Bethany Paprocki, brother Tom Hellmers of TX and brother and sister-in-law Ron and Carol Hellmers of CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Doug Hellmers and sister-in-law Judy Hellmers.
