Upon return from the Marine Corps, Larry went to work at Henningsen Foods, the Nebraska State Department of Roads, and Central Transport. He was employed by Central Transport for 36 years.
Larry loved spending time with his many grandchildren. He was quick witted and would have a nickname for most everyone. Larry loved to socialize at local establishments with a cold adult beverage. He also enjoyed watching old reruns on tv during cold winter nights.
