So sorry to hear of Larry's passing. He was a pillar of our local recovery community whose wisdom and sense of humor shone through the difficulty he sometimes had in expressing himself clearly. We have missed him throughout the pandemic and we will miss him dearly now though we know he's in a better place.

Our family has very fond memories of Larry. Not only as a veteran but as a kind man. We often had very stimulating conversations.

We as a family knew Larry quite well. Myself as Veterans Service Officer got Larry from Regional Center and into Vetrrans Home. Larry gave Craig his cassette collection for graduation. Jeff was a adjunct professor at Wayne State. Ken & Craig played in bands he liked. Jan got to know Larry through me. Larry and I had some very interesting conversations. He will be missed by all.

Larry was among my students & advisees at Wayne State College. I will never forget him, for he was my most intelligent students; & his classmates & I learned more from him than he learned from us. I treasure my memories of Larry Comas & the intellectual discusses he generated or to which he contributed in my classes in which he was enrolled as he pursued his Bachelor's degree which he treasured not for the distinction of having it but for the best of all reasons -- for the knowledge he gained while working toward its completion &, following that, as he earned credits toward the Master's degree he nearly completed -- again, not for the distinction of being capable & able in his Master's studies but for the knowledge he acquired from those studies. Rest in peace, my friend.
